I was wondering what everyone did with their trucks and the mudflaps. Its a crappy picture but deal with it.

I took mine off since they made they made the truck look like it sat a lot lower. I think yours look great though. It's an HD, so it sits higher anyway, and they are at about the same level as the step bars. If the steps weren't there though, I'd say take 'em off.

I have a 2007.5 GMC 3500 and I never got any mud flaps, period so I would say quite bitching about what you got. :uhoh: PLAY SAFE! Not only that but the ones I  got on the front are about 3/16 inch thick and the 17 inch tires on a sharp turn rub on the mounting bolts.

Considering the damage to the rockers I've had on my 2004 with the factory mudflaps, I can't imagine how bad it would be if I didn't have the mudflaps on there. They use really crappy paint on the rockers - should have heavier duty paint that can withstand rocks better or a rockguard type paint instead of just regular paint down there.

Anyway, if you decide to take them off, I'd be sure to replace them with something else, preferably with something that extends down even more than the stock ones.

The things I'll say about the stock ones is they fit very well, look good, and do seem to help protect the paint immediately behind the wheel wells.
