This question has been covered a million times over. You'll also get a million different responses to this question.

To save you time though, don't listen to what anyone else says. Buy a GM Performance Parts Cold Air Intake. Best one on the market, is made especially for your truck, won't void any warranties.

The downsides, costs a little more than the others, but you get what you pay for. I have one and I love it. One of my best upgrades. Sounds amazing. A little more power gain with the 5.3L, but not much fuel difference.

I highly doubt any CAI will void a warranty...

I think this should be one of the things every noob should have to read when they come to the site. Can we ban all questions about CAIs and exhausts? :sigh:

As for your question, the intake box on your truck is already a CAI. All an aftermarket one will do is make more noise. The tubing leading from the box to the engine is where the better throttle response and "extra power" come from.

FYI, if you search this site for "BEST CAI" you get ZERO hits. Asking questions takes much less time unless the sites actually section out the items well.
