Rough Country 3" Suspension

Was thinking about puting the 3 inch rough country lift on my 08 1500. Was wondering if anyone has put it on and if it affected gas mileage or anything else on the truck. If so how much. Thanks for your help guys.

ROUGH COUNTRY INSTALL

Above is my post on the Rough Country 3" kit, I installed it on my 2008 GMC Sierra and had nothing but problems with it so I took it off and installed a 6" BDS High Clearance kit then sent the RC kit back in the BDS box for an extra grin. RC has terrible customer service and poor quality, this is my opinion from this experience. Below is the link to my BDS install which went flawless, I couldn't be happier with my BDS kit.

I am now having problems with my RC 3in lift and they are giving me a full refund. Its comming off thurs. I should have held out and saved up for the BDS setup.

Silverbullet is right about the quality too...The upper ball joints they sent me first were crap and the "new" ones are even worse...came with an already stripped out zerk fitting and the bolts only caught about 4 threads on the NYLOK nuts...JUNK. IMO

Somebody really needs to come out with a quality 3" lift. Myself and a bunch of others would be all over it.

Not gonna say I told you so but well I TOLD YOU SO!!!

RC gave me a bunch of BS excuses and told me they would send out new parts to hopefully correct the issues or said they would give me a full refund. I told them if I was gonna spend the time removing their crappy kit just to reinstall a new kit then it wasn't going to be a Rough Country kit so I removed the kit for the refund and installed the BDS kit then sent RC their junk back in the BDS box just for laughs. I told the guy from Rough Country that they should send me a check for doing R&D for them and he laughed and told me all of their R&D is done in house so I told him that they need to step up their game because their R&D team isn't doing a very good job if I've got to take pictures of all the problems and do a complete write-up. after it was all said and done I had my BDS kit installed for about 2 weeks before getting the refund check from RC.
