08 Equinox Grill Removal?

Anyone have a trick to getting this grill off the 08 equinox? I boguht a grill for my moms equinox and want to mount it, but to get behind you gotta remove it ...

 

I took out the 4 push tabs that are on the top middle.... and when you looks down inside by the fans, you can see the tabs that gotta be pushed out, but they dont want to budge. I had em close at one point but it looked like a was gonna put my hand right thru the plastic i was pushing so hard.

 

any help would be appreciated if yo have ever removed one b4

Went for broke tonight and tore it apart w/o any knowledge.....

For future reference...

 

4 plastic pins on top you have to remove.

 

4 phillips head screws that are a pain in the ass to get to you have to take out (and loose one, crap!)

 

theres is a push tap on the chrome strip on either side that goes into light, u have to get something behind that chrome strip and pop it out of light w/ breaking it...

 

then there is another push clip on either side going into bumper panel that seperates chrome strip u have to pop out....

 

Pull the grill center strip off completely, and that allows enough room to get your hand in there to get behind grill......

 

 

it is pretty much impossible to take completely off w/o removing the whole bumper...

 

Has to be one of the worst designs out for trying to install a aftermarket grill... and if you have a headlight bulb out, good luck!

Headlight wont come out w/ taking off the whole grill (that above process...) and possibly the bumper...
