The Seat covers from GM, what are they made of (is it like fake leather), how hard are they to put on and do you have to take the seats out? Oh yeah, I don't have the bench seat I have the center floor consule, will the covers still go on fine, I think they will but not sure?

Hi

I just got my truck and I bought the GM seat covers.

They are a either a dark navy or black they are made of vinyl I think. They were easy to put on, my wife and I installed the full set in about an hour for both buckets and the 60/40 split bench in the back. You will need a large paper clip to remove the head rests to put on the cover for the backs and to put on the head rest covers. The instruction sheets are not well done but if you just take your time and think it out before you put them on they work out ok. No; you do not have to remove the seats to install the covers. I used them to cover my leather seats as I have kids and a dog and they are not going to be easy on the seats. I do have one compliant I thought that they would be a cloth cover vs the material that they are made of but that was my fault for not asking my salesman what they were made of. Generaly happy with the covers. :dunno:

I love my GM seat covers. To me,they almost feel like a divers wet suit. They have a very professional look to them. They fit so good and tight everyone thinks they are factory seats. A few people actually thought they were leather.
