I have the opportunity to pick up a driver information center (pn# 19159438) for free, and I am wondering if the wiring is already there for the work truck package or is this not worth messing with. Thought would be good addition especially since it is free.

You should have the wiring. I'm pretty sure every truck has it. Just pull the panel, and see if it is clipped into the back of it. It literally takes 15 seconds to get it off.
