I think your completely barking up the wrong tree. I wouldnt even try to especially in Austrailia.

why do you say that?? what is going to be the big trouble area??

i have just fitted a complete air ride fbss 4 link airbag kit and now looking to update the driveline, sits chassis on the ground with 24" wheels ( i believe it is the only one in Australia).

is there an adapting type engine moubnt available in the states?? or do i have to modify my front crossmember mounts to fit later style mounts in?

Piece of cake doing the swap. Painless has a free standing EFI harness for the 6.0. You'll need to splice a couple of wires from the chassis harness to the EFI harness. Some tach and Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) splices and you're there. If you reply with info on engine and trans in your '91 and the year and vehicle of the donor engine I can get you all the info you need (part number and some info on the splices). Painless also has a distributor in Australia - American Auto Parts (+61 297 461 188 - Sorry, don't have their toll free number down under).

Yes.... I work for Painless

 The Gen III motors are fairly easy swaps. We swap them into our rockcrawlers all the time.

RE: Engine mounts for the 6.0L in the 1991. Several people make mounts for the Gen III that let it use stock smal;l block GM engine mounts. Trans-Dapt makes them for sure and probably several others. The tranny mount should be easy. probably just a little fabrication and/or relocating the crossmember.
