Personally I am a fan of the KYB Mono Max. I have also heard really good things about Bilstien and feel they are right there with the KYB.

Monroe's Reflex is a decent shock for the money but not in the class with the two above names.

Shocks are one of those products where you get what you pay for. You can pay a little a get a shock from a great Marketing Company, packaged in a really fancy box and see it advertised in every car mag you pick up or you can pay more and get a shock from an engineering company that specializes in ride control.

I just put Bilsteins on my '01 1500hd.

The stock fronts were shot. I could push them down easy, but not pull them back at all.

It tightened up the ride alot. Overall feels alot more controlled.

The rear is still a little bouncy, but its a 8600 GVWR truck with absolutely nothing in it but me, so what do you expect.?
