Rear Shock Help

I replaced my factory shocks today with some Monroe Reflex shocks. The front feels great, but now the back feels a little bouncy. My truck is a 2004 GMC Sierra Z-71 exteded cab with the short bed. Monroe lists two different options for the shocks. I got the ones specificaly for the z-71 package. The part number for the rear are 911501 and the fronts were 911501. Does anybody know what the bouncing is from. I also wanted to know if it is possible to install a rear shock upside down?

Shocks can make a large difference in stiffness. This might be what you are feeling. I believe they also need a breakin period to wear in and operate as designed but I don't know if that will result in any better ride..

It might be the stiffness that I am feeling. One of my old rear shocks had a small leak. I didn't know about it untill I removed them to put the new ones in. I could hear it hissing when I compressed it. Don't get me wrong the ride qaulity of the new shocks is far superior than the old ones. It just feels like it might be a little bouncy, but I guess this could be due to the stiffness of the new shocks.

I think they ride better after a few hundred miles myself... but that might also be me getting used to the new ride. Either way, I've been more satisfied after a few miles. You might also be.
