Alotta times when I look at  a truck that interests me and I want to find out whether it's a 8cyl or 6cyl I notice there's a way to find out w/out listening to it.

Lots of the V6 trucks I see have Exhaust pipes the diameter of a garden hose.

lots of V8s I see have larger diametered exhaust pipes. I was just wondering if this is true in ALL cases (I'm talking Stock pipe systems, not FART cans). Do V8s comee  w/  small Diameter Exhaust pipes?

I would guess that most V8's would have 2 1/4, 2 1/2, or 3 inch pipes, but don't quote me on that, just a guess.

Funny you mention this, because it's the same thing I look for on the car lots at night, when no one's around to give you a key or tell you.  I haven't seen a V8, with a small tip like the V6's.  I bet Tom's guess is right on the money-
