Any Pink Floyd Fans Here?

OK, I am a HUGE Pink Floyd fan. They are by far my most favorite band ever. Unfortunately, I never did get to see them live. Their last tour was the Pulse tour in the mid 90's iirc.

 

Now, I am normally NOT a fan of tribute bands.....BUT, have any of you heard of or seen The Australian Pink Floyd? I went to see them 2 years ago here in Minneapolis with very low expectations. Why? because nobody copies Pink Floyd, probably because nobody can, right? WRONG! These Aussies were AWESOME!!! I went to see them again last November and was not disappointed again...they were simply incredible! I have been crossing my fingers that they would come again this year, but they have been touring Europe all year so far. Well, I checked their site again today and not only are they touring NA again later this year, they will be in MPLS on NOv 13th! And that's not the best part......They are doing this:

I will be buying tickets the minute they go on sale! 2 years ago, I was in the 3rd row (in the Orpheum Theater). Last year I was about 20 rows back, but in a theater, there isn't a bad seat in the house.

I keep meaning to go check them out, as I've never heard anything but raves about them. If they're going to do The Wall, I'll probably have to break down and go see them finally

everything i have heard sucks except "Another Brick In The Wall" that one is nice...

 

i like the begining and the end, the middle its pretty boring they say the same thing like 20 times...

Brian, I'm probably 10 years younger than you, and I've listened to a TON of Floyd, so it's not really an age thing...

 

I think to appreciate their music, you either have to be on drugs, or be a musician (I'm in the musician part). And a couple of years ago I saw Austrailian Pink Floyd on one of those PBS pledge things, and I've got to say, it was DAMN good.

I mean dont get me wrong I love some older rock like: Metallica, AC DC, Ozzy Osborne, Megadeath is ok.. But sometimes you just have to draw a line... I mean I play the guitar as well and have played some Pink Floyds songs but as far as I am concerned to be impressive with the guitar you have to play lik Jimmy Hendricks or something...

I think that I have a warped view of music cause I think my dad tortured me with freackin beach boys when I was a kid...
