Need Help With A Rust Issue

ok heres the issue i went to pull up my viynal floor on my 88 reg cab i pulled up padding .

 

whole floor is fine except for drivers side floor this is what i found .it seems alittle soft but i cant poke thru it

 

now how should cut this section out and rewelda new floor pan in or do you guys think im ok just useign rust to primer primer and some rubber coating then new paddign and new carpet ?

Yep..primer it up, rubber coat it, put down that new floor. Make sure it is all very dry before adding any sealers tho.

I'd add rustproofer (spray-bomb) to tho outside (bottom) of those floor boards too.

 

No holes = no cut/weld.
