thats great... Man if that was my dog he would be getting a beating cause I know in my yard he would be going into the street. And I would rather beat him now than to allow him to do stuff that he is not suppose to... I just dont want to have to scrape him off the pavement...

Dogs are a trip. My dog is blind, and it is interesting to watch him stroll around. He's funny, it's like he knows how many steps to climb to the bedroom, and to go out side, etc. The poor guy still wants to try and run and play, but he loses count and runs into everything.

I had a beagle who started off work-hardening his chain to break it and get loose. Then he learned to dig under the sides of his pen when we built him one. Then he learned to climb chain-link fencing (what his pen was made of) after we lined his pen with concrete blocks so he couldn't dig at the sides. We ended up keeping him on a tow chain in his pen so that he could run around the whole thing but couldn't reach the sides at all.

Now I have another beagle, this one indoors. When he was a pup we put up baby gates to keep him out of places we didn't want him. Now he just jumps those. Doesn't even touch 'em when he jumps unless he's tired.

How often do you rearrange the furniture? I had a friend when I was kid that had an old blind dog that memorized the furniture layout and could navigate around the house pretty good.......until we got drunk one night and decided to rearrange the furniture and watch him crash into everything.:D:D

No kidding about the labs...

I got 2 chocolate labs myself.

I have had the male since he was a pup.

But the female...jeez we adopted her about a year and a half ago and she is a great dog unlike the male who doesn't listen to well

the only exception is that for about 4 months she started figuring out how to escape from their fenced off side of the yard and jumping 5 foot walls and running around the neighborhood at night. (good thing she always comes back though)

Now their side of the yard looks like a maximum security prison because of her antics

Funny, you mention that. My ole' lady used to move stuff around 4 or 5 times a year, used to piss me off, but now thanks to my dog, things have to stay where they are. :D
