well, i just sold the 79, so its time for the sickest lookin rims out there, imo, dc-1 blacks. ive been lookin at them online, and i have a few questions for you guys. im just wondering, what would be the benefits/downfalls to ditchin the stock 17s and going to an 18" rim as opposed to stayin with a 17? from what it looks like, dc-1's are only available in the 6x5.5 bolt pattern in a -12 mm offset for the 17s, and a -13 mm offset for the 18s. the rims are 1.5" wider than stock. so is the extra 1.5" all on the outside, or some inside and most outside of the rim?

a truxxx #404035 +3/+1 leveling kit is going to go on first, so i should have no problem clearing 33s in whichever tire i go with, havent decided yet. (any suggestions for tires? mainly on road, some offroad driving. dont mind if they're loud) thanks!

You really need to go search and read some of the threads. This has been discussed forty bazillion times and the information is quite good. I'm not trying to be a smartass... just giving up some direction to where the good answers are. Good luck with the upgrade and post up some pics!
