I think I got a deal, biggest reason I ordered was looks but the price was another reason + its made by Borla, I think? I read a few other topics on here but started another thread anyway for the fact I never really got any good info on this exhaust and maybe someone out their is wanting to know abit more. My question to others that already have this exhaust is it noticable or irratately loud at cruising speed 2K at 70 is about what my truck runs, if its too loud Ill be selling for what I paid for it - 369 total :puke: Will an exhaust really help my gas mileage and add a few ponies? I ask because Ive never bought a catback exhaust, any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.. here is were I bought it and they have 1 more, sez 2 but I called in one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVY-SILVE...emZ360071866497

I doubt he is a spammer. That dealership on eBay is just down the street from me and he's been trying to sell those on ebay for months now.

I ended up going with the touring version because I didn't want the drone at highway speeds. Very pleased so far.

Here's a thread where the performance version was discussed.

Doesnt that describe a spammer?

Dont get me wrong, he may be just another GM fan. But why create an account, have only 1 post and in that 1 post try to get people to go to another site? Smells like spam to me.

No Iam not a spammer, Iam in WV and was just looking for feedback on the GM PERFORMANCE exhaust, the touring is quieter. Thanks

No offense meant. Welcome to the site!

Looks like the "Buy It Now" price is down to $300 But it's only for the 4.8/5.3 motor.

If the GM "retail price" is $600 or so, why is this exhaust so cheap. I would be that a GM dealer pays more than that from a GM warehouse. The ad states that "some" of the mufflers aren't polished like the one int he pic. That sounds like the muffler supplier changed or GM didn't care about holding a manufacturer to GM specs.

On another (exhaust) note, who has a sound clip of a system on a 6 liter V-Max truck? My old 99 had a Flowmaster 40 and duals done at my shop and it never had any resonance inside unless I was pulling my car trailer and the motor was work ing hard.

I don't mind some exhaust noise even in my DD. My 87 Vette is LOUD with no mufflers and my 02 Vette is LOUD when I climb on it hard (Corsa Indy's with X-pipe) but the supercharger on the 02 helps with the sound

That's a heck of a deal.

Yes that is a heck of a deal!

As most of you know I'm the parts manager at a GM dealer, and "dealer cost" on the GM systems range anywhere from $450 to $700 bucks.

List is anywhere from $640 to $1000 bucks.

Doesn't make sense does it ?

I also don't understand how a Buick/Isuzu/Hummer/Lexus/Jaguar dealer ended up with exhaust systems for GM Full Size trucks.

He must have gotten a sweet deal or trying to recover from a mistake.
