I applied some Fluid Film to my plow and underneath my 2500's chasis. Wanted to show you guys who are not familar with Fluid Film, what it looks like after applied. On some of the plow pictures you will see some excess Fluid Film in certain spots on the plow's pump and plow frame.

I even spray my satellite dish with Fluid Film. It seems to last the longest. But the bugs love to get stuck in it. DEWFPO

what do you use this for???? Does it resist salt???

It coats metal and protects from harmful side effects of road salt. Also will prevent any metal surfaces from rusting IF applied regularly. After applied, it leaves a slick, greasy to touch surface, which will also allow dust and dirt to stick to it most times, but will not accumulate a thich layer of dirt and dust. The key is to protect the metal even more. Since I have a snow plowing business, I am unfortunately prone to road salt as I am first on the raods while they are being salted. It is very important not to allow this road salt to stay on metal surfaces, especially under the trucks chasis. It is not like in the dead of winter you can use your hose and wash the truck down, at least I can't. So using Fluid Film is a good insurance policy.

Also helps keep snow from sticking on the plow at first, before some of the film wears off.

A gallon of this stuff goes for about $27.00, but it's worth it to me.

I use it on the snowblower on my tractor, the augers, fans blade and especially the chute so snow doesn't stick to it as quickly.

The stuff even has a pleasant smell.

I've done that too on my snow thrower.. Really helps keep the chute from getting jammed up with sticky wet snow. Which reminds me, I have to spray my snow thower. It's also good for snow shovels as it helps prevent snow from sticking on them, at least on the plastic shovels I use.

I betcha you can even use it as a lube for sex! :dunno:

Damn Dave, you haven't sold your plow after the last two winters here in Jersey? I seriously think we got a total of about 3" of snow last year... :dunno: I'm glad now that I didn't buy a plow before last winter.

I'm hoping for more snow this winter.

Got about 31.5" last winter. I live in an elevated area (840 ft), so any area North of Rt 78 saw the snow. Not much, but it was enough to make some money. Actually bought the plow in Dec 07 and it paid for itself by the end of Dec 07 snow plowing and ice control applicating.
