08 2500 6.0 Short Bed Exhaust

For the love of God, will a company please make an exhaust kit for this application. I'm real close to buying a long bed kit and hacking it up to fit.

I believe Gibson has exhausts for short bed configurations. Anyhow, it really wouldn't be that much of a burden to shorten the pipes if you brought it to a muffler shop. Are you hell bent on a particular brand?

I've personally called Magnaflow, Corsa, and Flowmaster. Checked other manufacturer's web sites to no avail. Is the long bed version longer only in the "I" pipe section before the muffler, or is the tail pipe arrangement longer as well? Thanks for the help.

Generally its the intermediate pipe but I wouldnt be suprised if it varied between manufacturers. Have you tried Gibson?

I've been patiently waiting for either Borla or Gibson to make one for my extended cab short box. However, Gibson has several systems for your configuration, depending on how you want the exhaust to exit...

Found the Gibson options. Sweet. How does their exhaust compare to a Magnaflow or Borla? Any feedback on tone and resonance would be great.

Crew cab. I'd like stainless steel, nice tone, and a nice look to it. Gibson has one?

Yes, Gibson uses T-304 SS, and has a really nice tone. I actually for the first time had my mechanic drive my truck past me so that I can observe how it sounds when driving by and it sounded much more aggressive then I thought. It sounded so good, mean and powerful tones. I have a link on my sig if you want to listen to it while it's parked in driveway. The in cab noise is at a minimum, and everytime I wash the truck I take a brillo pad to the rear tail pipes and they clean up real nice. The only thing that isn't SS is the clamps they send you, but I recomend getting it welded, I did after 8 months. I gotta take off those clamps, they really are looking like crap!

Anyway I got the dual extreme SS muffler that comes with two in's and two exit's. I choose to have the pipes discharge out an angle behind both rear wheels rather then bumper like everyone else seems to do. Makes the truck more unique looking. I plan on evntially adding a nice rear diff plate, preferable SS to compliment exhaust in near future.

Ordered the dual tip/passenger side exit kit in stainless. Went through one of the Gibson vendor links on their web site. Cost about $650.

I know what one you are talking about, both tips exit on the side. Can't remember if you can make it exit before the rear tire or not. Post some pics after you get it and installed.

I just heard a gibson for the first time recently. It was on a 6.0, also. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound.

Make sure we get a sound clip. :jester:
