Has anyone taken off the the front bumper of their NBS? Looking for any pointers. I hit a post that was in front of my parking space now i have a dent in the bumper and my edges near the wheels seem to be tweaked so there is big gaps!!! Anyone have any pointers on if it is worth to take to a body shop or try and fix it myself?

Thanks any advice is welcomed.

I didn't take mine off, but I was around when the body shop did mine. At least on the GMC, there is some time required to assemble. The chrome bumper is only one of many parts. Lots of plastic and brackets below the chrome. The whole bumper assembly is then put on the vehicle at once.

Not meant to offend, but that plastic and tin metal bumper (stock) is pretty worthless IMHO. When the shop took my front bumper off, my wife was able to pick up the bumper without any stress. When the shop put the Ranch Hand Bull Nose on the front of my truck they used a fork-lift.

Random thought: Can you get a winch mount for that front hitch reciever?

I don't think Ranch Hand does, but I know other aftermarket bumper fabricators do. They do have receiver mount winches. The rear bumper is a rated class V, the front is pretty stout also. I ran a chain through the d-ring and yanked that Dodge 1 Ton like he was a Neon.

I have not needed a winch (yet) but I do carry a High-Lift and chain. I am getting careful about pulling anyone out of a ditch etc... with all of the lawyers around. This guy (a month ago) was at an event that we (Colorado Mounted Rangers) were at and the field was pretty muddy. Several of the other guys tried for about 15 minutes to push him out. Finally I figured that I was cheaper than calling a tow truck so the guy agreed for me to pull him out. I hooked to his receiver hitch - no way I was going to his bumper!
