This is absolutely disgusting! I have lost over $1100.00 this year in my IRA, only $200.00 of it was gains. One of my oil stocks I lost over $1847.00 just today, absolutely disgusting! The stock closed today at a low that we haven't seen for over 5 years. GM stock closed today at $4.76 and hasn't been that low this 1929. These are some very hard times and it is going to have a huge snow ball effect. Wait a minute here, it is in a snow ball effect.

Banks are basically freezing credit and not giving out any credit to people, this is so ****ed up! I'm not even spending money on X-Mass cards this year if this keeps up. Barrel of oil dropped to $86.00 today, gas is coming down in price, but we are in deep deep shit!

That sucks. If oil is $86.00 a barrel why in the hell isnt gas going down?

First thing here. Do Not Panic!! It's when people panic and start selling all their stocks that worsens these types of situations. Depending on the make up of your portfolio, it would be best to hold on to what you have and ride this out. But keep track of what your investments are doing, don't leave them up to others to track.

That's easy (for the most part). Profit!

Gas is 2.89 in Northern parts. Here it just dropped from 3.89 to 3.69... For myself in NC we are just one of the states that does not have a refinery and it ends up that we are at the end of the delivery list..

There is places in NJ where 87 is down to $2.89. The station I go to had 87 for $3.19 and 93 for $3.39 which I filled up with.

It takes awhile for gas to drop when oil goes down, just because it dropped to $86.00 doesn't mean gas stations will automatically lower the fuel prices. They wait until their inventory is used up most times and wait to the tanker comes in and restocks the tanks. Gotta keep in mind, stations paid X amount for fuel, they can only lower the price by so much, or else take a lose.

I know a lot of people who have lost a lot of money in the stock market recently. I plan to buy some stock before everything gets back to where it was. But, I'm glad I didn't do it a week or two or month or two ago.

Sorry to hear about your losses, though... That sucks, man.

I've lost 1700 plus in my 401K and I froze everything in a guaranteed fund way back in June. Talk about taking it in the shorts! Dammit!
