Speedo Calibration

I have an 06 Silverado with a tune. If I let the dealer calibrate my speedo for 20" wheels will they re-flash the PCM with factory settings and the speedo change or just change one setting to correct the speedo? Don't want to lose the tune.

If you have a custom tune, they should be able to adjust your speedo.

Most likely will re-write it all...there are several checks on TIS2WEB(programming interface) for that module and it does not let you go forward without picking one of their choices unless it already has their up to date settings in it.

 

They would have to call Techline for a VCI number for that program...maybe they could ask them then since they have to input the tire change anyway.

 

This subject is really not covered in #03-03-10-006F about programming for 20inch wheels though.

Go back to the company that did the tune and have them change the speedo cals. Do not mess with the dealership.
