Transmission Vent Hose - Where Does It Go?

Recommended Posts

On my '02 Tahoe, starting from the engine firewall there are two vent rubber hoses. One of them goes directly to the transfer case. The other one goes to the automatic transmission where it splits in two. One end goes to the tranny vent the other end reaches until the end of the transfer case. Where does it plug?

No, I can't take pictures because the hoses run on top of the transmission. It is difficult to reach with your hand there and almost impossible to take pictures. I have replaced the transmission and after installing back everything this hose was left hanging. The two hoses are attached to a metal clamp which is held by a nut on top of the transmission. Just under the firewall. Behind the cylinder block. Then one of them goes directly to the transfer case vent. The other one passes over the auto transmission where is separates in two with a Y shaped splitter. The shorter end goes to the transmission vent and the longer end is hanging. I can't find where it goes!
