Is there anywhere besides the dealer where I can pick up a replacement set of Z71 decals for my 2008 Silverado? I have found a few websites that have them, but they all seem to be for a 4wd Z71, the thing is I only have a 2wd Z71. Any help would be greatful.

LMCtruck.com has pretty much every sticker/decal from most years/models.

He's got an '08, and for some reason GM decided to offer the Z71 package in a 2wd truck now. I was totally confused when I was shopping for my truck. I told them I wanted to test drive some Z71s, the dealer said, "I've only got 2wd Z71s in stock, is that what you want?"

Hence, no Z71 for this guy...

Its for the people who don't want 4wd but do want to be able to get around better in inclimate weather. I'm guessing because they don't want to spend another 4 grand or so. Plus its a way to get another 500 bucks from a customer by marketing the legendary Z71 package. Don't get me wrong, any 4wd I get I get the Z71 package if available or try to get the same thing that it offers.

They started the 2wd Z71's before the 08 year. I think it was in 06 or so they started that. It adds the locking diff and all the usual stuff. It's the same package for 4wd and 2wd trucks.

From GM's website:

Suspension Package, , Off-Road, includes 1.81" (46 mm) shocks, off-road jounce bumpers, 34mm front stabilizer bar, (NZZ) Skid Plate Package, (K47) air cleaner and Z71 decals on rear quarters ( Z71 )

It's all about the decals. Reminds me too much about what they did in the 70's with that eras "performance" cars. Slap some decals of a bird on the hood or put some fast looking stripes on a car and presto!...a...um...fast..car! :jester:
