4l80e Trouble

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0L with a 4L80E transmission, and I find that now with about 53000km's on it, my truck when I put it in drive and i step on the gas nothing happens for a few seconds and it feels like a neutral drop, it doesn't do it all the time, or basically like abosultly nothing then go, any advice on what this might be or how to get the dealer to find it before the warranty ends?

There was a TSB on delayed trans. engagement a while

back. My 01 2500 had this issue. A PCM reflash fixed

the problem.

 

Try a search and you might find the TSB and number.

what is a tsb? and would a comptuer tune from blackbear or westers fix the problem?

tsb=technical servic bulletin....issued from factory to dealerships for the purpose fo fixing known problems...

davzoq how do you like your blackbeartune? Do you feel it made a big difference? also hear anything about the tranmission problem I am having?

A dealer should be able to do a quick reflash of the computer to get the latest software update on there. I had that issue when I first got my Tahoe and they fixed it right up.

 

As far as PCM tuning, I assume that all tuners have the latest software updates from GM (BlackBear does).
