New Fuel Pressure Regulator Leaking

Recommended Posts

Posted

Thanks to this forum, I just replaced my FPR with a new one from the GM dealership. It appears the new one is leaking a little on the bottom. I used the new gaskets provided and used the old clip that holds it on. I have a 2002 Yukon 5.3 Flex fuel. Anyone experience this as well? If so, what is the fix?

Thanks!

Double check the clip. Make sure you put it back on correct.

Also, did you coat the new oring with a little clean motor oil?

Thanks. I just checked the clip and it seems to be on there good. Once it cools down, I will pull the FPR out and try again with oil on the ring.
