Got this thing about two weeks ago.

 

It's a 1999 "Freightshaker" Century with a 470hp 12.7L Detroit Diesel 60 series straight ten trans. and 3.58s in the rear ends.

 

This is what she looked liked last Sunday. The green visor is getting color matched and I'm am probably gonna throw on some nice decals/stripes to break up the white.

 

Any suggestions on the color schemes? I was thinking some red stripes but I'm not sure...

 

(I know she ain't much to look at but hey she gets the job done and my bills paid...)

Is it a 470 straight, or a 430/470 cruise power?

 

430/470 FTW! Supposedly one of the best detroit has ever made but its my first Detroit I have always had CATs so we will see.

how many miles do they have?

 

860K on the Century and the Kitty in the Classice is 1.3 Million and still running strong as ever. (preventative maintenance is key...)

 

There is a lot of mulah in them things arent there?

It definitely is a winner, send me the Serial #, it will start with a 06R0, and I will give you every bit of info Detroit has on it..warranty history, etc

Thanks Alaska I will get you that number when I get a chance.

 

The previous owner bought it from Arrow Trucking

 

Truck has a new head, turbo, compressors, radiator, clutch, and other misc. stuff.

 

She is in great shape and just needs some TLC and a good driver.

Awesome good to know. Yeah my mechanic really likes 60's I guess if I get 1MPG better than my cat I will like 60's too(the Kitty is averaging 6.72MPG...)

 

I just could not pass this deal up...it was way too good.
