Is there really a nickel plated slip yoke fix for my 2007 chevy that clunks when coming to a stop or occasionally from a stop? If there is, can anyone provide a gm part number so that i can get one?

tanks a millions!!!

Don't know if there is a plated version or not but have you pulled it and greased it internally? I used marine grade wheel bearing grease on my last truck and the problem went away.

If you have done so, then pardon my interruption and maybe somebody will chime in about your part.

Cutoff date for those nickel yokes was 2004 for Silverados, as far as I can remember.

There is a current(for 2007 models) TSB about trying to isolate a yoke noise from fuel slosh by doing what Zembonez said above with transgel or a similar lube. If its fuel movement, its considered normal, the grease will tell you...It also goes on to say that if its the yoke, they are investigateing if there can be anything done about the lash(anytime you have gears there will be lash by design, and a noise does not equate to lack of durability or performance all the time) short of greaseing it for customer satisfaction.
