Hids Or Kc Slimlites

I have a GMT900 and I don't know whether i should get 55w 5000k hids or i should get the titanium kc slimlites and mount them behind my grille and possibly some piaa xtreme white bulbs in my headlights?

I guess that depends on what you need them for.

Replacing the stock lights with HID's is not that expesnive, and you can use them all the time.

 

Many here have replaced their stock lighting with HIDs. Do a search, 'daddy' has a thread here somewheres regarding HIDs.

Like Patrick said, search. Check the links in my sig to the fog light upgrade and the HID's. There are also about 100 other threads on this issue across this site. Try using the advanced search options for the best results.

Yeah I have been searching and now i wondering if i shoudl spend the little extra on the piaas and kc slimlites so i dont have to worry about the headlight aiming and people hating me. And when plowing the headlights constantly shut off and on when you lower and raise the plow and when i remote start which from what i read can blow your ballast or bulbs. Thanks guys!

Hi there and welcome to GM Trucks!

 

I would go with the HIDs and wire things so that they don't go off when the plow is raised. It's not hard to align lights and with HID's properly aligned you won't run into issues with "the law" whereas with the Slimlights you might. Not to mention the loss of light one has from mounting behind the grill.
