Removing Passenger Airbag

Anybody that can help would be appreciated

I am trying to REMOVE the passenger airbag from my 2003 Silverado but the "Service Airbag" light won't let me see my miles or anything. can i "trick" my truck to make it think that the airbag is still in and working fine. Thanks for your time

I doubt you are going to "trick" the computer. It's designed to be fail safe and save people's lives in a crash. I understand and appreciate custom work as much as the next guy, but if this is going to remain a street driven vehicle and you injure somebody, be prepared for a serious lawsuit that you won't win. Got to watch that stuff these days big time.

 

BTW: I'm sure your passengers will love riding with you. :rolleyes:

to who asked what we are doing:

My friend and i are turning it into a show truck (barely driven mostly on a trailer)

i want my laptop to slide out of the glove box with a pushbutton (if i find a way for the laptop to fit!) i might just use something else
