Stuck Race

I am replacing the pinion bearing in the rear diff. The bearing and race both had pits in them. The bearing was pain to get off, I had to take it to a local garage and they ended up cutting it off. My problem now is the race is not coming out. It is pressed in and I've beat the crap out if it and can't get it to move. It's the last thing holding me up and I'm trying to get it all put back together tonight so I can leave for Thanksgiving. Does any one have any suggestions?

Heat will make the two metals expand at different rates. Probably the quickest way.

All I have is a hand held torch with mapp gas. I heated it up for a while but have been unsuccessful at breaking it louse.

if you can get a mig or some sort of welder, run a bead on the inside of the race, it will almost fall out. Use a backstop of some sort to keep weld spatter out of the housing.
