Power Lock Install Upgrade?

HI, I have a 2008 GMC 1500W/T. I thought that not having power locks and keyless ent. would not bother me .....but it sucks!!!! Has anyone had p/locks install at a dealer or can this even be done? And if it can be done and they are tearing the door apart is ther a p/window upgrade I can get? Maybe I would be better off looking at the 2009 with the options installed from the start. Jer, I am sure it can be done, I had a dealer offer to do that for me a few years ago on a truck I bought used from them. I would say just get an estimate on cost, then compare to trading up... good luck!

Dealers could not figure out how to make mine work (2 different ones tried).

 

I went with an aftermarket (Viper) setup on my truck. It came with factory power locks but no keyless entry. Viper makes a kit that has actuators, a brain, and remotes that works well and you'll spend a lot less than dealer prices. (if they could make it work) One plus - the range on my keyless remotes is incredible. I can lock up from way across a parking lot.
