I know there is a TON of info on this site in regards to this topic, but I just haven't had the time to spend on countless threads and filter through them all to find info on just these two systems. I don't want anything loud, but I wanna hear it when I step on the gas. I want an exhaust to make my truck sound & perfom a little better and these are the two I have narrowed it down to. The Corsa Touring is significantly more expensive and I am having a hard time justifying the extra cost over the Magnaflow. All thoughts and opinions are welcome and appreciated.

If cost is a concern, Just get an 18" Magnaflow SI/SO for single exit or SI/DO if you want duals. You will not get much difference in sound or performance between just a muffler swap and a full kit but you will come out much cheaper just swapping the muffler. I just swapped my muffler and cut off the factory tip.

The 18" isn't too loud but is loud enough that you will get looks when you get on it. If you want it queiter go with the 22" and you won't notice much difference in sound over stock, but will still get the performance.

I've seen a number of eBay deals under $300 for the GM Performance stainless exhaust for the 07-09 Silverado/Sierra's. I think they offer both Touring and Performance mufflers (Performance muffler is shorter).

For my 2003, I just received a Borla SI/SO (right rear tire exit) system. It is to be installed Thurs. The GM kit for my truck was approx $700 delivered. The Borla system was $570 delivered (Borla price had come down).

Thing I found surprising about the Borla muffler is the inside is a 'straight-through' design with perforated core... I would have expected flow directors. I hope it is quieter than my Flowmaster SI/DO system.

One idea is to visit YouTube and search on 'Silverado Corsa' or 'Silverado Magnaflow', etc. to listen to some of those systems. I did the same for Borla and GM Performance.

I chose the corsa because I have heard such good things about their quality. I actually have a Flowmaster Series 40 Single in dual out. No real power advantage but it sounds good. Local muffler shop put it on for $200

Did you take the flowmaster kit off and replace with the borla? If so I may be interested in buying it depending on what it is.
