Tc Acting Up.

My 2000 Silverado has automatic transmission/transfer case problem: It feels like it is momentarily hung between 4wd and 2wd without any attempt to shift anything by the driver. Always seems to strike at a very slow unloaded roll, or from a stop it will allow the engine to rev like it isn't in gear and then suddenly jump into gear with violent force! This is accompanied for awhile by a jing-a-ling noise like a gear spinning loosely around a shaft. If I stop and electronically shift it back and forth between 4wd and 2wd it will usually act correctly, but keeps noises for a good while, and then completely quiet again! I have already changed the internal cab/dash electronic shift control switch, and also the transfer case shift solenoid assy.

I have read where a problem in the behind the dash wiring is too tight, and causes some electronic wiring plugs to partially pull apart a bit and cause the AC/heat control capability to go bonkers! Any chance this could be a duplification of errors on two different control systems? After all, they are right there together!

Either way, please let me know about the transfer case/ transmission problem if you can. That is my primary worry!

I have the AC/heat problem as well, but I am still able to drive the vehicle without having to have heat/AC! I can turn it off with one fuse!
