Integrated Brake Controller

Does the 12v to the 7way on the rear of the truck have to be hooked up if it has the IBC option? I have read on here that it does if the truck does not have the IBC option. Also, is the 7way wired the same? I thought I have read on here that the 12v is now the center pin?

it's not hooked up from the factory for the 12V hot to the traler, IBC or not...I had to hook the wire up & install the fuse myself to get it live..
