1999-2002 Folding Front Seat Center Section

Anybody know where I can buy a folding center section for my front seat. Mine is the base model that doesn't fold. The only places I've found: one has a wood top (don't want that) the other says they can't get my color because GM won't turn the material loose. ANy help and URL's would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, always good to have someone else here who's not afraid to have a base model.

I've got my non-folding center sitting in my room right now. I took it out and put in a full center console. You may want to look at my site for some pics and info of the install. As far as getting a replacement, let me know if you've got the same fabric design as me since they don't have that in the LS models. What you can do is go to www.car-part.com and track some down. If you can't get the same color you could get some seat covers for them.

I tried Ebay, they have teh one with the wood top. Looks like it came out of a '70's conversion van.

I saw the site where you put in the console, I'm not against that; however, if I did that I'd like to have armrests on the seats and that would turn into even more money.

Put in 2000, Chevy Pickup, Seat Front and it'll give you a list of seats, there should be a few center seat sections. Email them and get a price and shipping quote.

As for putting in just the center console w/o arm rests on the buckets, I wouldn't worry about it, trust me, you won't really need them.

Not that this helps with your question but did you know that a base model can be ordered with the "uplevel cloth trim" that has the folding center section. The dealer I got my truck from orders most of his base models with that option. He told me that he gets a lot of customers that don't want the power windows and stuff but complain about not getting the folding seat... so he started ordering them with the better seats..
