Steering Wheel Rattle

I have an 06 duramax and ever since i bought it new it has had a rattle in the steering and 3 of my buddies have 05 duramax's and they did the same. I talked to one of them and he told me how to slove it and it worked so if anyone else is still having this problem and going as crazy as i was trying to figure it out i have the solution.

I had the same problem and Chevrolet replaced my intermediate steering shaft. I still have some rattle in my 05 2500HD but it is better than it was. You say you have a another way to fix it, please advise thanks.

Just like the other guy said chevrolet has redesigned the steering shaft and it doesn't hold grease anymore its solid and it totally fixed mine. I think that they should have a recall on them its so annoying. Thanks for the welcome! They didn't charge me to fix mine and its out of warranty so hopefully they will hook you up too.
