2003 Trailblazer Lt

I am assisting a friend with looking at different cars...she stumbled upon an '03 TB LT at a dealer that she's familiar with, and has everything short of fallen in love with the TB. She does not want to look elsewhere...so...since I'm not all that familiar with the GMT360s year changes, reliability, tips and tricks and other useful information, I'm hoping someone here could spare me some time and give me a comprehensive rundown of what to expect. According to MSN Autos' reliability section, from their third party independent source, the '03 wasn't exactly the most reliable machine out there...and this one already has 60,000 miles on it.

Any information that can be given would be outstanding, thank you!

The Trailblazer as a whole is not a bad vehicle, however they have had their share of problems. My inlaws have a 2004. The following things had problems with their truck; fan clutch, camshaft actuator solenoid, canister vent valve, ignition switch, blower motor resistor/module, and fan belt idler pulley.

My sister bought her '03 new, I don't know how many miles she has on it but last year was the first time it needed anything more than normal maintenance.

Alternator, which took out the battery, then we replaced both front wheel bearings and rotors. It's really been pretty much trouble free.

Reading Dormans post reminded me, we did have to replace the heater resistor last year too.

Thanks! Welp, I gave her the go ahead to get it, and she got it the next day, the 14th. I figured that out of any SUV she could get, almost any is gonna offer up some pain in the ass problem, and I'd rather see her in a TrailBlazer. Hopefully she doesn't have any problems right away...I believe she might be towing a uhaul with it this coming week...so hope it all stays together.

So far she absolutely loves it, and apparently it has quite a few options, full DIC, electronic climate control, 6 disc changer, XM, OnStar, leather, etc, and for what she payed, I'd say it was a pretty awesome deal.

Thanks again for the responses.
