Hamradio Antenna Mounts On Pickup Trucks

The sucky part of the 900s is that the antenna "L" brackets will not work off of the engine bay, unless you don't mind having your antenna at an angle like mine is. If you park your truck in a garage, then putting one on the roof is out. That leaves the bed of the truck or off of a tool box if you have one. As for where to mount the radio? I got mine mounted in the center console of my truck, though I am going to be using a remote display mount (My Kenwood has a detachable face plate) and put the radio itself in the center console (the storage compartment that opens up) and drill a hole for the mic to come out of.

Check out Geotool. These fit into the Stake hole in the bed, very strong. Had some of these in a Ranger once.

They are not the cheapest but worth the money.
