04 Silverado Cruise Problem

Ok Everybody i live in indiana and we just got about a foot of snow and i had been pulling people out of ditches all day long. I then needed to go to work so i hit the interstate. I got to speed and hit cruise but nothing happened. I clicked it a few times and it will flicker the cruise light but will not engage. Any help would be amazingly helpful.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem on my 2003 silverado. I pulled the switch apart today and cleaned all the contacts and bent them to put on more pressure but still not go. I checked the fuses as well. The brake lights are all working...not sure what the hell is wrong with it? Everything else works fine but the cruise just flickers when you hit it and doesn't work.
