Man... how much more can GM take? Ford? Chrysler? Anybody for that matter?

GM sales were down a whopping 49% for the month of January. Ford was down 40%. Toyota and Nissan were even down over 30%. This is a crazy time for the automotive business.

Looks like those bailouts are working great huh?

Yeah, but the Silverado gained 2 points in market share. The Ram was the only other to gain, and it only gained .64 points.

It sucks any way we look at it. Being GM fans... I hate it! Actually I think it is sad.

Luckily trucks haven't dropped quite as bad as other models. The only bright side I guess. I'm still holding my fingers for a rebound soon. I sure as hell hope so anyway.

Did you REALLY expect to see any results, good or bad, in one month? Or are you just stirring the pot again (as usual) ? :D

El Skyo es Fallingo!

LOL!

I still don't think so... but dammit, the news just keeps getting worse. I hope we are due for at least a small uptick soon. January is typically not a good sales month.

Horrible Spanish by the way... just sayin.

Well, I took French in high school and there's not a whole lot of need for Spanish in Indiana. :bs:

Funny.

Announcements made in stores over the intercom here: First in English and then in Spanish. Many store signs are in both languages and major companies all have Spanish only billboards. Sometimes it's hard to know what country I am in.

Then I wake up and realize it is Mexico. :D

I encourage people to "buy american" brand cars&trucks but appearantly it is now anti-american to encourage others to do that. ???so.... Ahhh what the hell ....BUY AMERICAN !!!!! I really dont understand this new tone that we can not promote or encourage the production of and sale of american made goods anymore...... this "global" economy thinking is just crap. Time to start taking care of number 1 again, because if we dont nobody else will either.....

Shit. And this is down in comparison to last January or JUST last month? :P

This is comparison to last January when things were not yet cratering.
