tire fitment ?

I have a 98 gmc 2500 4x4 w/ a 3 inch body lift. 285/75/16

on 16x8 wheels.

I want to go bigger possibly 315/75/16 or 35-12.5-17

I would also like to go w/ a 10" wide rim.

Do you think they will fit?

Im not affraid to trime the bumper if needed.

Im interested in pro comp xterrain tires.

A buddy of mine had pretty much the same truck as you with a 3" inch body lift, he had 305/70/16's on the factory rims and they rubbed on the A-Arms at full steering lock.  Also if we would be doing some hardcore off-roading with it the tires would go up into the fenderwells and on the way down they would try to rip off the chrome wheel well mouldings.

I think you could get away w/ 305's on the 16x8's but on a 16x10 you'll probably rub during full lock, and w/ a 315 you'll probably experience some rubbing problem.  So, IMO, I'd say stick w/ a set of 33's.

I dont want any problems . I have the factory flares.

Now Im thinking or using the Nitto 325/60/18 on a set of 18x9 MB Motoring locker wheel. nice looking combo there not to aggresive but I dont do much off roading.  tires.com  has a nice pic.
