Recommendations For Someone Or A Shop Around The East Texas Area To Do

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any recommendations on a shop or an individual to do a gear swap on my 2006 sierra 1/2 ton...? It has the factory 3.23 setup and I would like to install a 4.10 or 4.30 ring and pinion. I got one quote from a 4x4 shop about 40 mins. from me for $900.00... Seemed steep...? I'm in East Texas about an hour and a half from the DFW area....

Call this guy. His name is Jason 817 300 6840. He is the BEST at any drivetrain work. He's located in north fort worth. He also has the best customer service I have ever had. He did my Jeep for $1200 and that was including lockers, carrier changes, etc. I had him supply the parts but he'll do labor only too. Seriously, give him a call and make the drive.

I have been asking the same question...I may have to give him a call and take a drive up there to get my rear end changed...

Milstead in Conroe did a 3 inch Fabtech spindle lift and 4.10 gears on my 2000 Silverado 2WD. I was very pleased with their work. Drove it for six years. No whine, no problems.

Edit: and I miss Willis, Texas

Jason has had a business doing this for years in DFW. I'm not sure about the rules on this forum so I won't give out the name but call him up. We's very well known around here for vettes, f-bodies, mustangs, etc.

Got a call back. Very, very reasonable on the price. Does work by appointment. I'm gonna set an appointment and have some 4.10s installed....
