I dont see what else it could be other than my truck running rich....all i have performance wise is the Volant Intake and Corsa Exhaust...I'm hoping Justin with BlackBear might be able to fix this. Anyone else having a similar problem??

Same here,My tips get Black,I just keep wiping them off!

My Magnaflow tips are black and I've finally given up cleaning and polishing the things. Let us know if the tune makes any difference.

I never thought maybe Justin can fix this with the tune,We'll see in May!

Yeah im hoping he can....anyone found any exhaust leaks around the inlet or outlet of the muffler with the Corsa? My muffler guy said its carbon water that leaks out that leaves a streak along my piping but it gets to me.

the black is carbon which is a common byproduct of an internal combustion engine....every motor has this in the exhaust....wipe the inside of any exhaust pipe you find in any parking lot you will get the same thing.........carbon

Theres a drain hole on the bottom of the muffler for the water to drain out, this is normal (If this is what your talking about)

Yeah theres some coming out of the weephole...but that is around the outlet of the muffler....im finding some coming out of the inlet where the clamp is.

Oh yeah,I had that issue with mine on my '04,I just tightened the clamp up "a little".

Yeah make sure the clamps are all tight. I actually kind of like the inside of the tips being black.

I never thought to.......wax exhaust tips. lol

Yeah, you get the redneck flame throwers . No seriously, that carbon build up sucks but that has been present in all the vehicles that I have seen and driven. Its the small things that annoy this crowd the most...
