Shorty headers aren't very effective on these engines. Several people have installed them and realized little difference at all. Long tubes are the way to go but it will require a rework of the entire exhaust system and new cats. I'm sure others will chime in here.

Funny thing is that the BBK shorty setup for Mustangs is the hot ticket. Their OEM manifolds must be a lot more restrictive than the 4.8 / 5.3 / 6.0 GM V8s.

have you seen the manifolds on the fords , theyare wraped w / ss wrapping paper because they look lik a 5 yearold cutup a bunch of tubing parts & peices & glued thjem together , anything would work better than that
