Racing "Pet Peeves"

Anybody got anything in racing that kinda gets on your nerves??

I've got a couple.

-The "no-Blocking" rule in IRLCART racing. IMO it makes for "Boring" racing.

-Identical Paint schemes on team cars (EX. Bill Elliott, & Casey Atwood). It makes it hard to tell who's who from the front and the back. And their Paint Scheme is too plain, dull, and boring to begin with, not to mention Double the "dullness". :biggrin:

-"Adult-themed " sponsors. How would you like your little one to come up to you & say "Hey Daddy, can we go get some Viagra to support Mark Martin????". Atleast w/ Valvoline I could've shamelessly supported Mark Martin.

i always hated when i was racing the RM125 and some guy crashes hard enough to bend his bike in half and start crawling across the track. i guess it didnt matter too much i was in 9th anyways.

Stupid reporter questions

"So, Brad Parrot, DJ is in the lead nearly two seconds ahead of second place. How's the car running?"

All crew chiefs should be allowed to carry a cattle prod for these type questions.

That Bill Ward or whoever he is that runs the NBC prerace show. He just annoys the #### out of me.

General, so I guess Budweiser, Coors Lite, and Miller Lite also make you mad? Not to mention the whole Winston Cup and Busch Series? ;)

NASCAR not letting Kenny Wallace have "Playboy" or "Crown Royal" for a sponsor because they didn't fit the family image that NASCAR is trying to portray. I guess every family drinks Bud, Miller, or Coors, Smokes Winstons, and takes Viagra, huh?

And as for the identical paint schemes. I like them usually, I do have to say that Elliot and Atwood's is rough. But it's because they have the same sponsor. Wallace used to have a paint scheme almost the same as Mayfield. I liked that. I thoght it was cool to show they were a team.

Not finishing a race under green. NASCAR has been pretty good the last few years with red flagging a race so it will end under green, but I'd like to see the Cup and Busch series go to the green/white/checkered format that the tucks use. They almost always have an exciting finish with that format. Sometimes wadded up trucks and angry drivers too, but I think it would make for better finished overall.

Having separate engines for qualifying and racing! What kinda cr@p is that? You know how much money they could save if they just required the same engine for racing and qualifying? Neither do I, but I'm sure it's alot!
