05 Avalanche, Problems With Cd Player/ Res

Hey Guys, I just recently bought an 05 Avalanche 1500 w/ 6 disc CD player and RES. When I tried to load a CD into the System nothing happens, if you hold down the load button, it beeps but the green light dosn't blink and it will never take a CD. I am assuming there is no easy fix to this but figured I would ask.

 

As well with the RES when you pop in a dvd and play it everything works except the sound. there was no wireless headphones with the truck. When you plug in wired headphones in the back you can hear the radio but nothing from the DVD player. as well as I can't seem to even get any sound for the DVD out of the truck speakers. anyone got any idea on this? or am I buggered and have to take it in to get fixed? thanks for your help
