A 4l60 is a 4l60 for the most part...if you have a 2wd...you have to use a 2wd trans...it has a tail shaft, where the 4wd model has a transfer case attached to it instead.

If your Yukon is a 4wd you can use the z71 one or the trailblazer if it was a 4wd unit. If you have a 2wd Yukon....(did they even make one???) you can use the 05 Silverado one

Hollander lists 99-00 Silverado (w/o ext cab) & 00 Yukon, Suburban 5.3 to be the same as far as being a drop in fit. Like others here are saying the 4L60 transmission from another GM may work with modification. I'd probably get with a trans shop for further recommendations.

Hollander interchange number is 400-03455

Yea, the boneyard interchange lists 99-00 Silverado and Sierra 1500s as well as Yukons and the Tahoes. (non XL, 5.3l 4x4)
