1995 Suburban Brake Questions

Recommended Posts

I recently had a brake line failure on one of the front wheel brake lines. This allowed all of the fluid to drain form the master cyllnder. I repaired the line and replaced the fluid and bled the brakes. Its still a very soft pedal and strangely, the ABS kicked in when I was already stopped on drive pavement. (Buzzing sound and vibration in the pedal.)

My ABS is Kelsey-Hayes and I have heard that this unit has to be bled seperatly with an electronic tool to "cycle" the ABS and clear the air out of there...

Is this true?

What do you suggest?

Would this be done at any dealer or what do you suggest?

Call around to some modern repair shops and ask them if they have a scanner to do the job. Yes all GM dealers can do it but at a price.
