Tranny Issues

hey everyone im new to the site so cut me some slack... i have a 2000 gmc sierra 1500 2wd and yesterday i drove the truck and it was not shifting into 4th gear. i just did a tranny filter and flush about 8 months ago. what can the problems be?

getting any DTCs? Sounds like a shift solenoid is not working.

no dtc's. if it was the shift solenoid would i get a dtc??? it happens every so often.

yah... the day i was having issues, the truck wouldnt shift into that final gear on the freeway. i drived home in 3rd gear with the rpm's over 2k at 65 mph. it hasnt happened since but im getting worried and i want to get it taken care of.

yah i made sure i didnt have it in 3rd. i was shifting it from 3rd to D and the rpm's didnt change. and keep in mind i was not going up a hill either.
