Steering Wheel Is Not Straight

Recommended Posts

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra half ton. It has had a lot of steering work done to it within its 20,000 miles. It has an intermediate shaft replaced and a steering shaft bearing. I am not sure why, but the steering wheel is slightly to the left and not perfectly centered. Its been aligned twice and its perfect (found out the front tires, even though they were rotated, were pushing the truck to the left so I put them back on the rear and its perfect again), but the wheel remains a little off. Its been like this since the bearing was replaced but I amnot sure if replacing the bearing could have caused this. If you think so, please let me know so I can get her in there before she is out of warranty. I really do not have time to drop it off and but if this seems like something that could have happened..I will drop it off. Thanks a lot for any help.

Toe in adjustment on the alignment is what centers the steering wheel.

Thanks, I am used to the old cars and trucks where you just rotate the wheel on the shaft a tooth to get it straight. My father's 99 Sonoma was like that.
