Darting Across The Road?

Recently I had a set of bfg's size 285 installed on my 2000 silverado and the shop said they tightened up my steering box cuz it had too much play. Now the trucks seem to dart all over the place. Is it the tires or the bad box job? If It is the tires will a steering stabilizer help. Would you recommend a single or dual stabilizer. The other steering componets are fine down to the ball joints. The 285's replaced a set of 265's which was larger than the stock 245's.

Sounds like the rocket scientist that tightened the steering box cinched it down too tight. There has to be some play left in the box or it will stick and make driving a constant series of over corrections.

 

Just adding 285s won't cause this.
